The needs of businesses today are changing – they are looking for a single, reliable and experienced partner that can offer a comprehensive suite of services under one contract. To meet this need, Certis has successfully enhanced its non-security businesses over the years to cater to a wide range of business requirements.

On 19 November 2020, Synergy FMI, a subsidiary of Certis was officially rebranded as Certis Integrated Facilities Management (IFM). This is the result of a four-year long transformation journey for the Certis IFM team – which has strengthened our Facilities Management (FM) services over the years.

Today, the Certis IFM team is ready to take on mega-FM precinct projects across multiple properties and locations at any one time, streamlining processes and optimising resources. What makes Certis IFM unique is its ability to provide integrated and smart solutions – by managing the full suite of FM services using a centralised, digital platform. This comes right on time when the recent COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the trend in adopting smart technology in facilities1, allowing for up to 20% savings in manpower deployment. From Hard FM such as electrical and mechanical services, to Soft FM such as landscaping and cleaning services, the Certis IFM team orchestrates all FM operations from a single platform. Collecting and analysing actionable data, from a single building to across multiple properties, these insights allow our partners to focus on their primary business. Certis IFM take care of their back-end FM services, including predictive and preventive maintenance, decreasing response time and optimising resources.

Complementing the technology behind the solutions are competent professionals. Certis IFM conducts regular training courses for staff to gain a multitude of skills and enable them to stay competitive in the industry. Other than technical, safety and security skills training, they are also well versed with the latest technologies and to digitalise workflows. As a result, hybrid job roles are created, where Certis IFM staff can also help identify suspicious activities and potential security threats. Cost-savings will also increase as smart solutions are implemented, reducing manpower and multiplying effectiveness.

“It is important to continuously work on our processes and systems, improve the quality of services and show our customers how we can truly value add to their business,” said Vice President Sim Poh Heng, Head of Certis IFM. From safety management to fixing of system faults, Poh Heng will continue to drive quality excellence and customer experience with his team on how to further improve the quality of FM services, so as to achieve consistent, efficient solutions for our customers.
