Certis Strengthens Aviation Security Presence in Asia

Certis announced today that its Australian subsidiary, SNP Security (SNP) has been awarded the contract to provide passenger and baggage screening services at Adelaide Airport for three years, starting 18 March 2019. Adelaide Airport is the fifth-largest domestic airport and the sixth-largest international airport in Australia. It is the aviation gateway to South Australia and processes more than eight million passengers annually.

This latest win adds to the growing portfolio under Certis, which has a sterling track record in managing airports across Asia. Certis has a combined expertise of international aviation experience spanning Singapore, Australia and the Middle East, managing key gateway airports such as Singapore Changi Airport, Sydney International Airport and the Hamad International Airport. In addition, Certis is backed by a rich security heritage, and has strong expertise in delivering mission-critical security operations. Certis also secures sensitive key installations, major retail malls, healthcare institutions and transport hubs.

SNP’s demonstration of its ability to achieve high standards of performance, safety and customer service through best practice methods and systems won it the Adelaide Airport contract. SNP will support the Adelaide community by extending access to its world-class training, internationally recognised aviation security credentials, and technology-led security solutions.

As part of Certis, Asia’s leading advanced integrated security services provider, SNP will leverage its operations-technology (ops-tech) methodology to develop and deploy new mobile technology tailored to Adelaide Airport’s own screening station requirements. The new system will deliver improved operational efficiencies, enhanced user experience and analytics capabilities.

The addition of Adelaide Airport into Certis’ Australian Aviation portfolio positions it as a leading provider of security in the local aviation market.  Tom Roche, Senior Managing Director of Certis Australia said, “As a fast growing major airport, Adelaide Airport is an important win for our business. We look forward to leveraging our 50 years of aviation security experience and enhancing it with Certis’ proven advanced technology capabilities. We look forward to partnering with Adelaide Airport to deliver superior security services.”
