Certis’ innovative approach beyond its physical security services is the new concept of “Security+”. In Jewel, Certis has reimagined new facets of operations-technology (ops-tech) by delivering a full suite of advanced, integrated facilities management, security and guest experience in a single holistic solution, supported and underpinned by technology. With Security+, Certis is able to deliver greater situational awareness and business insights, to enable our customers to focus on their core business, unleash synergies and provide better experiences to its customers.

Developed by Certis, Mozart is an innovative multi-services orchestration platform that integrates data from smart operations, Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, CCTVs and mobile devices. Jewel’s Smart Operations Centre (JSOC) is where Mozart is deployed to orchestrate the operations in the complex, ensuring safety and peace of mind for the thousands of visitors to Jewel. Through JSOC, Mozart integrates 12 different systems with over 5,000 sensors, more than 200 mobile devices and some 700 CCTVs monitored across all functions.

With Mozart, Jewel’s large-scale critical operations involving multiple processes, systems and responses are seamlessly orchestrated for advanced situational awareness. Information and insights are processed to enhance operational efficiency, enforce safety and security, optimise resource utilisation and enrich guest experiences at Jewel. Mozart also uses data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) to provide valuable pre-emptive as well as predictive operational insights. Jewel’s water features including the spectacular Rain Vortex, and its daily light and sound shows are coordinated and monitored through Mozart.

At Jewel, Certis has also deployed Argus, a next generation officer support system for security operations. It is a unique, feature-rich, all-in-one smart mobility application that enables security officers and facilities management crew to be more efficient and productive in their management of security, guest relations at Jewel’s various attractions, and vehicular movements. Smart data analytics are employed to perform manpower deployment, and ensure the optimisation of resources to critical areas.

As part of Security+, Jewel also features the Internet of Things (IoT) technology to collect operational data from various sensors on the ground for timely detection of incidents or safety risks and activate swift response and coordinated recovery between security, facilities management and customer service. Kerbside patrol is automated with PETER, Certis’ robot enforcement officer that is fully autonomous and designed with the capability to ensure smooth traffic flow with minimal human intervention. PETER is able to navigate on its own, avoid obstacles in its way, and execute its own service cycle from ‘launching’ for operational work to ‘docking’ at the charging station after eight hours of continuous operation.

One key component in Security+ is the guest experience. To this end, Certis’ Experience Concierges and Experience Rangers stand ready to assist with the needs of travellers and visitors, and spark delight in everyone’s experience at Jewel.
