- Certis donates S$30,000 to the Boys’ Town as part of programme
Certis launched its partnership with the Boys’ Town in a new initiative called 'Youth for Change' on 19 June 2024. Boys’ Town is a distinguished charity organisation dedicated to equipping children and youth in need with skills to become socially integrated, responsible and contributing members of society.
Through the Youth for Change programme, Certis, together with Boys’ Town, will provide young individuals from Boys’ Town with opportunities to partake in community-driven activities. The programme, which is meticulously designed to foster personal growth and community impact, will encompass four service-learning activities over the year, and focuses on two vital pillars: environmental stewardship and support for underserved communities.
Celebrating the launch was a beach clean-up expedition on kayaks at Pasir Ris Park, marking the commencement of this inspiring programme for both youths and Certis volunteers. Upcoming activities in the pipeline will include collaborations with various social service agencies in Singapore, to ensure a holistic range of transformative experiences for the youth.
Mr. Robin Goh, Senior Vice President, Head of Group Communications and Marketing of Certis, expressed profound pride in the organisation's partnership with Boys' Town. He said: "Youth for Change is a transformative programme that perfectly aligns with Certis' overarching Purpose – to make our world safer, smarter, and better. Collaborating closely with organisations such as Boys' Town allows us to co-create initiatives that impact both the community and our beneficiaries. Through Youth for Change, we aspire to empower these young individuals to realise their potential as agents of positive change today and for the future.”
In line with its dedication to fostering change, Certis will be contributing S$30,000 to Boys' Town. This donation underscores Certis unwavering support for integrating service learning into educational curricula, further amplifying the programme's enduring impact.
Boys' Town, echoing the sentiments of this meaningful collaboration, expressed its gratitude and enthusiasm for the programme.
"Certis' partnership with Boys' Town for the Youth for Change initiative is a testament to their unwavering commitment to social impact. Their generous donation not only empowers our youth but also ignites a ripple effect of positive change within our communities. Together, we are creating a brighter future for generations to come," said Roland Yeow, Executive Director, Boys' Town.
The partnership between Certis and Boys' Town represents yet another significant milestone in Certis’ commitment towards corporate social responsibility as part of its ESG efforts, demonstrating the power of collaboration in driving meaningful change.
