Certis is dedicating its resources to fight the pandemic through 3 key initiatives so we will all emerge stronger when this is over.

Protecting the community

Certis is fighting on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic to protect the community and aid other essential workers to safely perform their duties.

We work round the clock to contain the spread by enforcing control measurements including safe distancing, movement restrictions, mandatory temperature screenings and health declarations. Our operations extend to mobile patrols, issuance of quarantine orders, and ensuring the safety and security of government quarantine facilities in Singapore.

Our officers also perform security and healthcare support services at hospitals and health care institutions.

 


Taking care of our employees

A company-wide task-force was set up right at the beginning of the pandemic and one of its top priorities is protecting the well-being of our employees.

Since then, Certis gave out 21,000 care packs to employees, installed hand sanitiser dispensers at lift lobbies, deployed safe distancing measures, increased disinfection / cleaning of common areas and implemented team-cohorting as early as February.

Open communication is vital to managing the pandemic, and employees are constantly updated on the latest developments through multiple internal communications such as advisories, directives, posters and eDMs.

Mobile applications were developed for employees to monitor their own health, and for Certis to identify those with flu-like symptoms and quickly render assistance.

A para-counselling team, staffed by trained Certis volunteers, helps employees who find themselves emotionally or psychologically affected by the COVID19 outbreak with an avenue to seek advice, assistance and assurance.

Employees can also reach out for help via a 24/7 hotline and dedicated COVID-19 email address.

 


Helping the less fortunate

As COVID-19 continues to disrupt lives and livelihoods, Certis remains committed to helping the community through our Corporate Social Responsibility projects.

Certis is focused on helping disadvantaged children and youth as well as people with disabilities during this pandemic. We believe that they should not be denied the means to protect themselves to stay healthy in this difficult period.

We recently packed and donated 500 care packs to beneficiaries of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund

Certis also participates in other community efforts such as packing hand sanitisers for Hong Kong Physically Handicapped and Able-Bodied Association, and working with Temasek on the Bring Your Own Bottle project.
